“Alfred Karindi – Forgot ten Masterpieces”
In 2021 and 2022, Igor released two CDs of transcriptions of works by the Estonian organist Alfred Karindi, which were re-arranged for piano and quartet. These world premiere, critically acclaimed recordings presented Karindi’s music, which has all but been forgotten in Estonia, in a vibrant new light. It includes a quartet reworking of Karindi’s most well known piece, “Berceuse”. Copies of these recordings are kept in the Arvo Part library.
