“Summer Garden”
Summer Garden was released in October 2024 and is the latest collection of Igor Balakirev’s original compositions. Inspired by the Summer Gardens in St. Petersburg, it is a departure from Igor’s style to date as it was recorded with a hand-picked, St.Petersburg Chamber Orchestra adding new depth to Igor’s work. This music is set to lyrics from Russian poets including Anna Akhmatova, Anton Delvig, Afanasy Fet, Nikolay Yazykov, Mikhail Lermontov, Apollon Maykov, Alexander Pushkin, and Fyodor Tytchev.
